The Whole Tooth

Teeth improve memory

A study of around 2,000 persons in UmeƄ revealed a clear tendency that those who kept a full set of teeth had better powers of memory than those who lost teeth.

I still have my wisdom teeth! They're in, they're stayin! Nice.

I would have posted this earlier, but I forgot my Blogger password.

'Monster' fossil find in Arctic

Well, it is a cool find, but when I read the headline, I was hoping they found this guy:

George Washington

As a child, I, like all Americans, learned about George Washington.

The father of our country. The first President. Wooden teeth. He skipped a stone across the Potomac. He chopped down the cherry tree. He said "I cannot tell a lie!"

The only thing true is that he was the first President.

The rest? Lies. Told to us as truth, as so many other things as a child.

It's a problem that happens in every country.

Lies, myths, speculation and fears passed on from parent to child generation after generation. Shit rolls down hill, and right now the human race is at ground zero, shit valley.

Don't even get me started on the bible.

ANYWAY...

I feel I've finally found the truth about George Washington. It may seem a little strange, a little startling at first, but watch this documentary... it's closer to the truth than anything we've learned. I swear. I cannot tell a lie.

Beer drinkers beware: 4 percent of U.S. hops crop burns

If I Were One Of These Sickos I'd Be Nervous With America's Most Wanted On My Trail

Oh this is beautiful.

How can you not love this guy? There are so many others JUST LIKE HIM running things, that I can only hope this is the first domino that falls.

Close Encounters Of The Nude Kind

2051 space oddity: TV station aims at an alien audience

Eurotrash goes intergalactic tonight when two naked television presenters host the first programme conceived for aliens and broadcast to a star located in the Big Dipper, 45 light years away.

The TV show has been conceived as an idiot's guide to humankind, or close encounters of the nude kind. The hosts will explain how the human body is created - thus justifying their own nakedness - and will tell about the main elements of daily human life.

Idiot's guide. No kidding.

They'll send their invasion force soon after.

You were warned here first.

Police hunt farting dissident

When told to show more respect for the country's rulers, he farted loudly and was promptly arrested.

First of all, the President of Poland is a twin. You know they're planning some creepy twin mental caper which involves having two dates for the Presidental Ball. It just shouldn't be allowed.

Second of all, maybe this guy just had too much kielbasa for lunch.

Third, when I think of the same question... I don't fart. I throw up.

Well Said...

Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so.

Ex-Rep. Foley Checks Into Alcohol Rehab

Oh yea? The alcohol made you do it?

Bullshit.

This is a simple case of "I don't like the way I feel about myself so NO ONE should be able to feel this way."

It's a simple, hypocritical stance that anyone who is against something SO much, whether it be a gay lifestlye, porn, drugs, etc., etc... is usually knee deep in the hoopla with it.

And the rehab excuse? Please.

This has happened before (at least the press getting a hold of it, because it happens ALL THE TIME down there in D.C. It's just the way it is.) back in 1983.

On July 14, 1983 the House Ethics Committee concluded that Rep. Dan Crane (R-Ill.) and Rep. Gerry Studds (D-Mass.) had engaged in sexual relationships with minors, specifically 17-year-old congressional pages. In Crane's case, it was a 1980 relationship with a female page and in Studds's case, it was a 1973 relationship with a male page. Both representatives immediately pleaded guilty to the charges and the committee decided to simply reprimand the two.

Crane, who tearfully apologized for his transgression, lost his bid for reelection in 1984.

Studds, however, stood by the facts of the case and refused to apologize and even turned his back and ignored the censure being read to him. He called a press conference with the former page, in which both stated that they were consenting adults at the time of the relationship. The age of consent was and remains 17 in Washington DC. He stated that this was a private adult relationship, no laws had been broken, and therefore not the business of others to censure them for their private relationship. The people of Massachusetts agreed and he continued to be reelected until his retirement in 1996.

Studds. He pretty much said, yea, I did it, and it is none of your business. Honesty got him reelected over and over.

Uwe Boll Vs. His Critics

Uwe Boll makes movies.

I haven't seen any of them, but I do remember the reviews. Dreadful. And seriously mean. I don't usually read reviews until after I see a movie and sometimes I think they've got it right, but for the most part, these guys/gals watch movies and give their opinions and get paid for it and that makes me mad as in "why don't I have that job?" And most of the times they are wrong. In my opinion.

ANYWAY.... Uwe Boll's movies get awful reviews. So what does he do?

He challenges his biggest critics to a boxing match.

4 of them take the challenge.

4 of them GO DOWN.

Nice. Good for you Uwe. You have a weird name, but I like what you did and I'll go see your next movie, throw you a little coin.

Here are some of the highlights of the matches.

I Have Many Anchovies For You!

MADRID, Spain (AP) - Millions of anchovies - a protected species in Europe - have died in northern Spain after an unexplained mass beaching, officials said Friday.

The fish, all juveniles, were found stranded along large stretches of Colunga beach, 35 miles east of the port city of Gijon, a normally pristine seaside landscape in the verdant province of Asturias.

"More than three tons have been found so far, and our main - untested - hypothesis at the moment is that they tried to flee from predators and accidentally beached," said Luis Laria, chief coordinator of a marine protection unit working with the government.

Laria said a European Union moratorium on fishing anchovies along the northern Atlantic coast of Spain and the western coast of France has been in place for two months. Less rigorous fishing restrictions had been used for the previous two years.

Imagine the smell of that beach. Yech.
