61 Years ago today was VJ day and this famous picture was taken in Times Square.
Today, in the very same place where it happened, there is a statue of that kiss, and lots of people imitating it.
The statue was unveiled last year, with the nurse showing up. As for who the sailor was, there were numerous ones to make the claim, but somehow this woman had proof.
Proof that she was easy.
Today also happens to be one of the days I wear my sailor outfit.

Fast forward another 60 years...... let's hope they don't put up a state of the Naked Cowboy.
